Not Classically Handsome...

Character Information
Full Name: N/A
Nicknames: Schorin
Gender: Male
Species: Wraith
Height: 6'10
Build: Slender
Eyes: Yellow, slitted
Hair: White, worn in a similar way to the Wraith's science cast.
Facial hair: Yes. Customary style seen most often in the series.
Complexion: Sickly pale green/blue
Distinguishing Features: Schorin wears a signature long red coat and tends to pick vibrant color that your average Wraith would often shy away from. One might chance to call in flamboyant in comparison to his brethren. Most of his wears are gotten from planets in his travels. Schorin has no visible tattoos nor intentional markings.
Left, Right, Ambi: Though Schorin could quite possibly use both of his hands to fight or write his "feeding hand" is his left hand.

Personality: A notable difference of Schorin to most other Wraith is his sense of individuality. Schorin travels alone on his own ship, not as part of a hive.

Though this difference to the other Wraiths is extreme, Schorin still possesses the cockiness prevalent in his species. He is assured of himself and does not deny his desires. In other words, he is by no means angsting that he is a Wraith and has to kill to live. As any meat eater will attest, even if a human hates other humans he’ll still eat a burger and be fine with it, not giving a second thought to the cow it came from.

Schorin is intelligent and knows it, which exacerbates his cockiness. He can infiltrate a planet without culling it and secretly devour half of the natives while holding negotiations for trade with that same planet for materials. Thus, his charm is also something to be countered.

Schorin does not enjoy confrontational conflict. HIs main goal is survival and, thus, makes him seem somewhat of a wimp though he argues that it’s cunning.

Schorin’s weaknesses are tremendous as it applies to his species. He was born with a genetic abnormality which caused him to feel so separated from his own people that he felt the only option was either death or abandoning his people. This genetic flaw is Schorin's complete lack of any pyschic ability. He can not receive psychic energy nor can he give psychic energy. Schorin was basically the equivalent to someone who was deaf. He would be the first to be sacrificed if his comrades ever lacked food.

Schorin developed his charming personality and quick wit to counteract threats of being sacrificed. These traits did not always help him succeed.

Schorin being away from his hive and people has inspired a bitterness for the species he came from and a distinct dislike of their ways. Because he is an individual he sees every flaw he perceives in his own people and won't hesitate to verbalize his disdain.

Likes: Schorin enjoys colors and discovering new things. He enjoys knowledge beyond the technical and learning new cultures and different ways of living. He loves stories of what those who are telling him consider to be old civilizations and rituals. He has an affinity for languages, written and spoken. He is easily distracted and incredibly curious by new things and ideas.

Dislikes: The Wraith and lack of tact as well as their lack of imagination and their egotistical nature. Those who embrace too fully their successes and don't recognize nor try and remedy their lacks. Guns.

Strengths/Weaknesses: Schorin is very imaginative and cunning, moreso than most male Wraith and as much as female Wraith. He has a unique perspective on life and hundreds of years of unique experiences.

He is not able to fully communication with his brethren and if he were to meet up with another Wraith they would know right away of his deficit, a discovery which might cost him his life. He is extremely bitter of his species, an emotional handicap that has kept him silently seething for a very long time. And while strong he is certainly not the strongest Wraith there is. In fact, he is probably one of the weaker ones out of either not practicing or just a malaise about wanting to fight.

Quirks/Habits: Schorin figits a great deal. Inside the pocket of his coat he usually carries a small bouncing ball made of tightly sewn animal bladder. If he finds himself in a predicament he will role it around in his fingers, toss it from one hand to another, or bounce it on the floor.

Sexual Preference: He's had a few deep connections with people but nothing to define a sexual orientation.

History: Schorin was born as part of the scientists' cast. It was obvious at an early age that Schorin was not telepathic and, moreso, could not be influenced telepathically. This earned him a similar stature to someone who was deaf in the early 1800s, someone considered useless or just barely tolerated for their difference or, more appropriately, kept around for the pure humor of the situation. Schorin was allowed to live because of his unexpected intelligence, an ability from both inheritance and a will to survive past being sacrificed for food.

But, as years went by (and a lot did) Schorin felt more and more separate from his fellow Wraith. It was inevitable that Schorin abandon his race to be on his own. It was at the epoch of a conversation about the lack of food and who they could sacrifice and an eventual intervention that drove the Wraith to run.

Schorin has been “out of the loop” for thousands of years, traveling the galaxy feeding, trading, and living on his own.

Ultimately, Schorin is not for the thriving of Atlantis at all, but he has no ties to his fellow Wraith and their desire for dominance either. So Schorin would be just as apathetic in killing an Atlantis crew member as any other person. But if he saw Atlantis as a sanctuary or a protectorate against other members of his species and a way to ride out the current war he would be inclined to bend his cravings for the security.

Medical
Allergies: That retrovirus thing probably wouldn't be a good idea to add to his drink. But, other than that, no allergies.
Injuries/Illnesses: He has sustained a scar-leaving injury in the past but it causes him no pain and he keeps the mark covered.
Mental Health: One could say that Schorin suffers from being treated so cruelly and that he has a lot of hatred and possibly depression but nothing that would make him go mad and start randomly culling anyone.
Eyesight: Really, very good.
Hearing: Really, very good.
ATA Gene: Not so much.
